The Conservative Party Human
Rights Commission will hold its next hearing on July 12, on
Eritrea.
The human rights situation in Eritrea has deteriorated
significantly in recent years. At the hearing, to be held in the
Thatcher Room, Portcullis House, Westminster from 2-4pm on July
12 exiled Eritreans and human rights experts will give evidence.
The hearing is open to all, and will be chaired by Gary Streeter
MP. Speakers will include Dr Berhane Asmelash, Director of
Release Eritrea, Noel Joseph, Executive Director of Eritreans
for Human Rights and Dr. Khataza Gondwe, Research and Advocacy
Officer at Christian Solidarity Worldwide.
