Freedom House has released a Special Report assessing the worst violators of freedom and human rights around the world.

In Worst of the Worst: The World’s Most Repressive Societies 2006, 17 countries and three “territories” are profiled, including several countries which the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission has focused on this year, such as Burma, North Korea, Sudan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The Conservative Party Human Rights Commission is preparing its own study of human rights violations which will be published in an Annual Report later this year.
